Baby Shamili debuts opposite Siddarth

Generally supposed that child artistes turn into lead stars after they grow up. Baby Shamili, who wowed audiences with her superlative performance in the Mani Rathnam directed ’Anjali’ as a mentally challenged child, seemed to defy the rule. Sister of Shalini Ajithkumar and Richard, this pretty young girl was approached by many directors to play the heroine in their flicks. However, their efforts turned futile. Now, a debut director in Telugu, Anand Ranga has managed to rope in Shamili as the heroine for his film which has Siddarth playing the hero. Anand Ranga, who has worked as an associate for the blockbuster hit ’Bommarillu’, is said to have impressed Shamili with the story. This made Shamili to sign on the dotted line.

Tamil star Simbu sings for Nenu Meeku Telusa

Tamil young super star Silambarasan popularly known as Simbu sany a remix song in Manchu Manoj latest film Nenu Meeku Telusa. Simbu and female playback singer Geeta Madhuri sang the remix version of Ilayaraja’s “Mabbe Masekesindile..”


The music of Nenu Meeku Telusa was released a few days back. Achu is debuting as music director with this film. Manoj, Reema Sen and Sneha Ullal are playing the lead roles in this Ajay Sashtri directed film. The film will hit theaters in few days time.

Bhoomika and Kim Sharma with Navadeep

Tollywood versatile actress Bhoomika and Bollywood sexy actress Kim Sharma are all set to pair up with young hero Navadeep in his next film. Bhumika is one actress in telugu cinema who doesn’t mind acting with small heroes. She earlier acted with many small heroes like Shivaji, Abbas, Murali Krishna and Ravi Babu.


This yet to be named film is being directed by PA Arun Prasad who earlier directed Goutham SSC with Navadeep in the lead.

Ram to act in Sravanthi Ravi Kishore next movie

Hero Ram who tasted success with his latest hit Ready is right now busy with Masaka movie under the direction of B Gopal which is being produced by MS Raju on Sumanth Arts banner.


Meanwhile producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore who produced Ready is enjoying the success of his movie. This sucess has initiated him to make yet another movie with Ram. The producer is getting ready with the script and other crew. He will start the movie once Ram finishes Masaka movie.

Katti son’s marriage rubs salt in Chiru’s wounds

Praja Rajyam supremo Chiru is facing ire of Katti Padma Rao’s daughter-in-law’s parents for blessing the inter-caste marriage. The bride is a Kamma girl aged 24 years and it is a love marriage.

The girl’s parents feel that the marriage had Chiru’s blessings. They are questioning whether Chiru can accept a low caste girl as his daughter-in-law and why can’t he accept his daughter’s love marriage.

On the other hand, Katti Padma Rao says that Chiru has nothing to do with the marriage and he attended the function after marriage.

The parents of bride allege that they were kidnapped and kept in a house and there is no response from Chiru when they visited his office on Sunday.

Padma Rao says that the marriage is done with the mutual consent of bride and groom. Prominent people like C Narayana Reddy, Goreti Venkanna etc graced the inter-caste marriage. Padma Rao further added that the bride is free to go to their parent’s house or even she can take divorce.

Saleem film launch

Manchu Vishnuvardhan and Ileana starrer Saleem had its official movie launch yesterday at Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad. Dasari Narayana Rao clapped the clapboard, Akkineni Nagarjuna Switched on the camera and Raghavendra Rao directed the muhurat shot. Hero Prabhas gave the harathi and hero Kalyan Ram did the jyothi prajwalana. Mr and Mrs Mohan Babu handed over the bonded script to the unit members.

Vishnu and Ileana are doing the lead roles in Saleem and Mohan Babu is doing a negative role. YVS Chowdary is directing Saleem and Mohan Babu is producing it on Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Movies banner. Sandeep Chowta is providing the music and Chandra Bose is giving the lyrics. Gopi Mohan and Ravi are providing the story of Saleem.

Saleem is getting ready for a March 2009 release.

Kotha Bangaru Lokam audio launch

Varun Sandesh and Swetha Prasad starrer Kotha Bangaru Lokam had its audio release function yesterday at State Art Gallery, Hyderabad. NTR, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Bomarillu Bhaskar, hero Varun Sandesh, producer Dil Raju, director Srikanth Addala, lyricists Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry and Ananth Sri Ram and many others were present for Kotha Bangaru Lokam audio release function.


Prabhas released the audio cassette and handed over the first copy to Bommarillu Bhaskar. Allu Arjun released the audio cd and handed over the first copy to Ntr.

Speaking on the ocassion, all the guests and unit members of Kotha Bangaru Lokam praised one another and also thanked each other for their hard work and support in the making of Kotha Bangaru Lokam. They also said that the movie is sure to be a super hit blockbuster movie.

Nenu Meeku Telusa audio launch

Manchu Manoj latest movie Nenu Meeku Telusa had ita audio release function on 29th August at Prasads Preview theatre, Hyderabad. Balakrishna, Raghavendra Rao, Keeavani, Mohan Babu, YVS Chowdary and Kodandarami Reddy were the guests for the function.


Manoj Babu, Sneha Ullal, Sunil, Tanikella Bharani, director Ajay Sastri, editor Naveen, cinematographer Sunil Reddy producers Ashok Raju and Manchu Lakshmi were the unit members of Nenu Meeku Telusa who were present for the function.

Hero Nandamuri Balakrishna and K Raghavendra Rao jointly released both audio cassette and audio cd of Nenu Meeku Telusa movie. Sony BMG is distributing the audio in the market.

Every body spoke on the occassion and as usual praised each other. Those who all spoke on the occassion praised the guests, late Sri NTR and the entire unit of Nenu Meeku Telusa.

Gopichand Warns Anushka!

King press meet

The unit of Nagarjuna next movie King held a press meet on 29th August at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad. Hero Nagarjuna, director Sreenu Vytla, story writers Kona Venkat and Gopi took part in the press meet. The unit of King informed that the shooting is going on at brisk phase and the movie would be released on December 19th, 2008.


Speaking to the media, Seenu Vytla said that he is just the director of the movie and Nagarjuna is the real King of the movie. He also said that King is going to be a real treat to Nagarjuna fans. Srinu Vytla also added that the shooting of King is little different and every frame is being shot to perfection because King would be different from Nagarjuna’s earlier films.

Kona Venkat spoke to the media about the making of King script while keeping Nagarjuna image in mind. He said that he, Gopi and Sreenu Vytla took a lot of care in preparing the script.

Nagarjuna praised Sreenu Vytla and his team for preparing such a cool script for him. He also was happy to inform that his son Naga Chaitanya would be launched as hero later this year. Nagarjuna also praised Trisha for her acting talents.

Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for King movie and Siva Prasad Reddy is producing it on Kamakshi Kala Movies banner.
