I am for separate Telangana: Chiru

It is now official and clear. Megastar Chiranjeevi has categorically declared at his road show in Jagitial, amidst firing of crackers, that his Praja Rajyam party is all in favour of separate Telangana.

Chiranjeevi declared that his party would not come in the way, if the UPA government at the Centre announces the formation of Telangana. "I understand the sentiments of the people of Telangana and my party always respects the feelings of the people. My heart beats to the tune of your aspirations. We are for separate Telangana," he said.

What is more, he ended his speech with the slogan "Jai Telangana," as the people fired crackers. "Why is the Centre silent on this crucial issue? Let us all bring pressure on Delhi rulers to grant separate Telangana," he thundered. He said Telangana was not actually a backward area, as being claimed by a few leaders, but was pushed backward by the rulers in the past. "Let us all have a developed and glorious Telangana," he said.

All eyes on Chiru's Seema tour

After the Telangana tour, Chiranjeevi is planning to tour Rayalaseema areas in the next month. And all eyes are on how he would take on his rivals in the Seema, which is widely under the influence of Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Especially since Chiranjeevi has announced his support for separate Telangana State, political observers feel he might face a difficult situation in Rayalaseema. Most of the leaders in Seema are quite opposite to Telangana State and feel that if the State had to be bifurcated, Rayalaseema must be hugely compensated. So, Chiranjeevi would have to talk about due justice to Rayalaseema region.

However, Chiranjeevi is heavily banking on leaders like Bhuma Nagi Reddy and C Ramachandraiah, who have been giving him advice from time to time on the issues confronting Rayalaseema. They assured that his Seema tour would be smooth and encouraging.

He is likely to begin his yatra from Kurnool, rather than Tirupati, so as to have a confident start.

Balakrishna to reach Guntur on Nov. 4

Vijayawada: Nandamuri hero, Balakrishna, who is scheduled to make his political debut with the Yuvagarjana to be held in Guntur on November 5, is likely to reach the town one day in advance and hold talks with the party senior leaders.

Even as the Telugu Desam president, N Chandrababu Naidu, is closely monitoring the arrangements for the mega event, Balakrishna himself is personally gathering information on the arrangements and instructing the leaders accordingly.

The TD had formed over 17 special committees to monitor venue, dais, media, electricity, transport, parking, finance and other issues. Each of the committee was assigned special tasks for the event. Party senior leader, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, who heads the organizing committee, is camping in Guntur monitoring the arrangements with the respective committees.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna, who is determined to help his “Viyyankudu” to come back to power, is also monitoring the arrangements through his fans. He is in touch with his Fans Association president, P Sundaram Babu, and the TD Guntur district unit president, P Pullarao, about the arrangements.

Sources said that Balayya had asked his nephews, Taraka Ratna and Kalyan Ram, to join him in the massive rally from Gannavaram airport on the day along with Chandrababu Naidu. The TD leaders are planning a mega road show of Chandrababu Naidu, Harikrishna, Balakrishna and the two young heroes from the airport to the venue on the day.

Chiru, Nag, Venky and Bala Going Into History

They are known as 'The Big Four' of the Telugu film industry and have always had been referred to as the four main pillars of the Telugu circuit. However, it now appears that the time has come for the big four to make way for the younger generation of stars and take the legacy of the films forward.

Leading from the front is megastar Chiranjeevi who has already begun a new chapter as a politician which is a sure shot sign of his adieu. Nagarjuna has got his movie arriving but then he has already set the stage for his son's arrival marking that his prime time is done. Nag also says that he is planning to relax for about 2 years once King is released. Venky has got appetite for another 2-3 films and he could be calling it quits around that time.

Taraka Ratna, too smart a politician

Nandamuri Taraka Ratna has proved himself a smarter politician than expected. The way he answered embarrassing questions from Rajanikanth, TV9 anchor, in a live show amply proves this.

Taraka Ratna did not succumb to any of the cross-questioning from Rajanikanth. On his controversial comment that Balakrishna would be the next Chief Minister, he simply said the controversy was the creation of the media. "Why are you making a issue out of non-issue?

This is not correct," he snubbed Rajanikanth. On his absence at the luncheon meeting held by Chandrababu Naidu with NTR family members, too, Taraka Ratna got angry. "We are all one family members. I can go to mamayya's house whenever I want. There is no need for any invitation. I was in Kurnool at that time for a film shooting. Don't try to dig too much into the matter, which is not there," he said.

On many other points, Rajanikanth tried to extract a controversial statement from Taraka Ratna, but the latter was too smart to fall into the trap. He said he would not take up politics as full time, but would definitely work for the Telugu Desam party, even after it comes to power.

Sasirekha Parinayam release in November

Maverick director Krishna Vamsi is making a movie titled Sasirekha Parinayam with Tarun and Genilia in the lead. The last shedule of shooting of this film will start from November 1st. Sunkara Madhu Murali is producing it and Mani Sharma is composing the music.

The audio of Sasirekha Parinayam will release in the first week of November and the movie will be released in the last week of November.

Kamna wins hearts in two states

Introduced by through the film 'Premikulu', the actress has been making it big ever since especially through the film 'Ranam' where she acted with Gopichand. Chiranjeevi to spell party's stand on Telangana soon

Sircilla (AP) (PTI): Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi on Thursday virtually endorsed the demand for separate Telangana state, though he stopped short of announcing his party's stand on the issue.

Kicking off the second leg of his mass-contact programme from this handloom hub in the Telangana heartland, the Praja Rajyam party founder said he understood the sentiments of the people and their desire.

"I don't have any personal agenda. People's agenda is my agenda. I can understand the heartbeat of the people of Telangana. I honour the self-respect of the people of the region," he said, addressing a road show here.

Amid cheers from the large gathering, the megastar said he would spell out his party's stand on the statehood issue before completion of his present leg of tour.

"I will not leave Telangana without spelling out my stand on the most-awaited issue," Chiranjeevi said. The second round of his tour would cover Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts over the next eight days in Telangana region.

Without naming any one, he hit out at political parties for exploiting the innocence of Telangana people for their advantage.

Chiranjeevi's tour in Telangana is keenly watched in political circles as his stand on the statehood demand is expected to impact the outcome of the next year's assembly elections.

Since Telangana has emerged as a key issue ahead of polls, the megastar's position will influence the nature of alliances in the region.

56 dead, 350 injured as 13 blasts rock Assam

GUWAHATI: Terror struck the hub of North-East when over a dozen blasts ripped through commercial areas of the capital and three other districts on An injured being rushed to hospital after a bomb blast at Ganeshguri in Guwahati, Assam.

The first of the 13 bombs, suspected to have been planted by Bangladesh-based HuJI members, went off simultaneously around 11.30 am under the Ganeshguri flyover, near the high-security capital complex housing the Assembly building, Paltan Bazar and Fancy Bazar here.

Around the same time, bombs also went off in crowded market places of Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon and Barpeta districts in lower Assam. ( Watch )

Black smoke billowed from the Deputy Commissioner's Office housing the district courts, which bore the brunt of the attacks in Guwahati, as vehicles, including a number of cars, turned into mangled heaps of metal.

Police suspected that the bomb was planted in the court complex on a two-wheeler.

At least 25 people were killed and 235 injured in the blasts in Guwahati where an indefinite curfew was clamped following protests by residents, who accused the police of delayed action.

While 19 were killed and 64 injured in Kokrajhar, 12 died in Barpeta and 46 others were wounded. Five people were injured in Bongaigaon, Principal Secretary (Home) Subhash Das said.

A red alert has been sounded across the state and army has also been put on alert in view of the security situation, he said after Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi held a review meeting with his cabinet colleagues and top officials.

Over Confidence Killed Talented Director

He has often been labeled as the man with extreme talent and vibrant dynamism; all this has been seen in his earlier movies that turned out to be blockbuster hits and with a definitely rebellious touch. He is none other than the noted director Teja who had made a mark for himself in Tollywood.

But still his arrogance is seen in his words- he wants to make films in Bollywood and on parallel lines wishes to produce at least 10 films a year by giving chances to new directors in order to percolate the filth in Tollywood!!!!!!! Is that not a height of arrogance?!

Gopi Gopika Godavari shooting from November 4th

Chandra Babu Naidu confirms Ntr absence from Yuvagarjana

Telugu Desam Party supremo Nara Chandra Babu Naidu confirmed today to the media that Ntr will not be attending Yuvagarjana which will be held on November 5th at Guntur.

Speaking to the media, Chandra Babu said that Ntr will not be attending the Yuva Garjana due his prior shooting shedule commitments. He also said that Ntr will be attending all other party campaigns in future except for Yuvagarjana.

Mee Sreyobhilashi in 39th International Film Festival Of India

Indian Union Ministry has announced the date, venue and also the list of movies which will be played at the 39th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). International Film Festival of India this year will be held in December and the venue will be Goa.



The panorama of IFFI submitted a list of 25 films in feature film catogery and 20 films in non-feature film catogery to Minister of state for Information and Broadcasting. The only telugu film which entered the list is Mee Sreyobhilashi. This movie was directed by debutant director Eshwar and was presented by CC Reddy. Rajendra Prasad played the lead role in this film.

Sexy and plump babe Charmee has started shooting for her next film. The yet to be named film started its shooting yesterday in Hyderabad. Shashank is playing the lead role with Charmi. This is the second time that both Charmee and Sashank are pairing up after the superhit film Anukokunda Oka Roju. A debutant director VK Prakash is directing the film.

Prince Mahesh Babu sister Manjula is producing this movie on Smt Indira Productions banner. This movie will be Manjula’s fourth production venture after Show, Nani and Pokiri. Earlier to film production, Manjula acted in Show movie which got her national wide recognizition. Show also went on to win many critically acclaimed awards though it was not a commercial hit.

There is one good and one bad point for this increase in rates of Aasin. The good point is that, thank God she is not doing any telugu movies, if so, our producers had to pay 2 crores just for the heroine in their movies.

The one problem with this increase in Asin fees is that other big heroines like Nayanatara and Ileana are likely to increase their rates also from 1.2 crore and 1 crore respectively to 2 crores to stand no 1 in the race of heroines which would create a problems for telugu producers because these two heroines are acting in many telugu movies.

Reliance Productions movie with Rahul

Rahul who did the role of Tyson in Happy Days and the lead role in Rainbow movie is now all set to do another movie which will start soon. This movie will be a scientific movie in which Raahul’s role will have sci-fi touch in it. This yet to be named movie will be produced by Relince company.

While Rahul plays one of the lead role in this movie, Navdeep or Nani of Asta Chamma fame will be doing the second lead role. Heroine is not yet decided. Kiran who worked with Trivikram Srinivas and Dasarath will be introduced as director with this film.

This movie of Anil Ambani will have its official launch either in the end of November or in the start of December.

Manchu Manoj next film with Chandrasekhar Yeleti

Technical director Chandrasekhar Yeleti who made movies like Aithe, Anukokunda Oka Roju and Okkadunnadu is now all set to make another good film with Manchu Manoj Kumar Babu. Chandra Sekhar Yeleti himself is producing the movie also.

Manoj who is now on cloud 9 with the success of his latest release Nenu Meeku Telusa, signed this movie immediately after listening to the story. It is being said that Manoj was super exited after listening to the story. Search is still on for a new heroine.

This film was officially launched at Yeleti production office in Hyderebad without much buzz or media coverage. Major part of the movie will be shot in foreign locations as the story demands.

Surya s/o Krishnan release postponed to November 14th

Surya, Sameera Reddy and Simran starrer Surya s/o Krishnan release is postponed from Diwali date to November 14th. Now the film will be releasing on 14th November ie Children’s day. Earlier the makers of this movie thought to release during Diwali festival along with other movies. This movie is directed by Goutham Menon who earlier directed Kakha Kakha and Raghavan in tamil.



The postponement of release was because Dil Raju who bought the distribution rights of telugu version of Surya s/o Krishnan felt that November 14th is a better day for release than releasing during the Diwali festival with other movies. The tamil version of this movie will also be releasing on the same day.

Maniratnam Ashokavanam to shoot in Srilanka

Super director Maniratnam is making a tri-lingual film in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. He has titled this movie as Ashoka Vanam in telgu and tamil and Ravan in hindi. The entire unit of Ashokavanam will start its shooting in Abroad in those cool ans sexy locations as the story demands. The shooting of this film will first start in the dense forests of Srilanka.



Vikram and Aishwarya Rai are playing the lead roles in telugu and tamil versions where as Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are playing the lead role Hindi Ravan. Prithvi Raj is the Ravan in tamil and telugu versions where as Vikram is doing the Ravan role in Hindi. Yester year hero Karthik who is known to telugu audience through Abhinandana and Anveshana is playing the role of Hanuman in Ashokavanam and Govinda is doing the same role in hindi version. Priyamani plays Soorpanaka role in the movie.

Ashokavanam is not exactly a Lord Sri Rama and Sita Ramanayam, but it is a complete commercial movie which will have Ramanayam immersed in the story. Maniratnam made a similar movie called Dalapathi with Mahabharat as the back drop. He has now selected Ramanayam as his next directorial venture.

Nitin Drona release for Sankranthi

Nitin has become one of the busiest young stars now. He has three movies lined up for which he is working back to back. The first one is Hero which is releasing worldwide today. Malayalam heroine Bhavana is doing the lead role in this film. Directed by GV Sudhakar Naidu, Hero is being produced by Manyam Ramesh.

Nitin is simultaneously working for Drona which is getting ready for release during Sankranthi 2009. Priyamani plays the lady love of Nitin in Drona. Directed by debutant director Kumar, Drona is being produced by DS Rao.

The third film is an yet to be named film which has Nitin and Ileana in the lead roles. This movie had its official launch recently. Paruchuri Murali will direct this film while GV Ramama produces it. Nitin will start working for this film once he finishes shooting for Drona.

Maa tv gets Neninthe and Ntr - Vinayak film television rights

Popular tv channel Maa tv bagged the television rights of Ntr-Vinayak film and also Ravi Teja flick Neninthe in the direction of Puri Jagannath. Maa tv bought the satellite rights of Ntr film on the day of its official launch by paying a huge amount of 4 crores. It also spent huge amounts in buying the rights of Neninthe.

With the increasing number of regional entertainment channels, each channel is forced to come out with many entertaining programs to keep the viewers busy without watching an other channel. In this race to success, these tv channels are forced to play many recent movies because movie is the main entertainment for any common telugu man. In this process, these tv channels are buying the satellite rights of all big movies for high amounts. Now the trend is that these tv channels buy movies even before their launch.

Ntr to be absent for Yuva Garjana on 5th November

Jr Ntr who is now becoming the most powerful and popular person in NTR family will not attend the Yuva Garjana which will be held on 5th November in Guntur. Earlier it was proposed that the entire Nandamuri family will attend the Yuvagarjana and Balakrishna will officially enter AP State politics on this stage.

The events took a sudden change and TDP supremo Chandra Babu Naidu had a sudden blow when Ntr announced his absence to Yuva Garjana. Ntr and Chandra Babu had a meeting at the later’s house today morning. In this 45 minute long meeting, Chandra Babu Naidu tried to convince Ntr to attend the meeting stating that his absence at Yuvagarjana meeting would send a wrong message to TDP fans, opposition parties and also to the ntire TDP cadre. He also said that Yuvagarja has become the meeting of prestige for entire Telugu Desam Party.

Ntr said that his prior commitments and promises are making him miss the Yuvagarjana. He said that he will not be able to attend the meeting on Nov 5th because of his shooting schedule for MLA film, but he promised Chandra Babu that he would join the TDP campaign at a later date after he finishes the shooting schedule. He also requested Chandra Babu not to insist him anymore on this matter.



NTR was furious and argued with Chandra Babu after he came to know that some NTR family members were lobbying against candidates for whom he had recommended party tickets in next elections. Ntr recommended producer Vamsi for Gannavaram seat in Krishna District. Vamsi is also the producer of Ntr next film MLA. But other TDP leaders and also his father Hari Krishna are against this and want the same seat to be given to someone else.

Lets wait and see what will happen now in TDP and how things will take turn because only NTR has the voice and the ideas to pull off a sustained campaign for the Telugu Desam Party.

Puli to Komuram Puli

Power Star Pawan Kalyan latest movie Puli has changed its name from Puli to Komuram Puli. This name change was informed by Pawan himself in an interview to a daily news paper, though the reason for this change in the name was not answered by Pawan Kalyan. It should be known only to him and the director SJ Surya.

SJ Surya who earlier directed Pawan Kalyan in Kushi is directing this film. 30% shooting of Puli is complete and the remaing part is being shot at a very brisk phase. London based Indian model Nikesha Patel is playing the lead heroine role in this movie. Pawan Kalyan plays the role of a sinciere and strict Police Officer role in Puli aka Komuram Puli. Theres a dual role by Pawan Kalyan in this movie.

Ram Charan Tej and Kajal Agarwal in Ramoji Film City

Ram Charan Tej and Kajal Agarwal who are playing the lead roles in SS Rajamouli directed film are right now shooting in Ramoji Film City. The entire unit of this film is shooting in a set titled Bhairava Konda. This movie is based on a re-incarnation story, so the unt is shooting in the age of Kings and Queens atmosphere.

This yet to be named movie has Sri Hari doing a very important role. Music is by MM Keeravani and story is by Vijayendra Prasad. Allu Arvind is producing the film on Geetha Arts banner.

Balaiah as CM: Taraka Ratna

Nellore: Giving an indication of the troubles that the Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, could face from the Nandamuri clan, an actor-member of the family on Sunday said he wanted his uncle, actor Balakrishna, to become chief minister if the party returns to power. The actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna said it was his childhood dream to see his uncle and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna as the chief minister. Taraka Ratna, the son of Mr Mohana Krishna, was speaking at a Simha Garjana public meeting here in support of the TD.

Chiranjeevi set for T tour from Oct 23

Hyderabad: The Prajarajyam party chief Chiranjeevi appears to be unruffled by TDP’s pro Telangana stand. Though on many occasions he stated that he had full sympathy for the cause of Telangana, Chiranjeevi is unlikely to announce a clear policy in unequivocal terms during his tour of the region which begins next week.

Chiranjeevi who has recovered from his severe throat infection he suffered during his maiden political tour of North Andhra, is now getting ready for the second leg in Telangana districts from October 23. He will tour for four days in the Warangal and Karimnagar districts and will return to Hyderabad on 27 for Deepavali,” sources told media.

After the party’s launch on August 26, Chiranjeevi stated that the Telangana issue was question of self respect of the people of the region.

After that there was no firm statement on the party stand on separate statehood. Infact, he never had an opportunity to talk on the subject not even during his visit to Sircilla recently since it was more or a humanitarian-cum-study tour to know the problems of the weavers who were resorting to suicides. It now remains to be seen whether he would unfold his party stand on the T issue or not.

But party sources say that Prajarajyam leader had clearly spelt out his stand on the Telangana and that there was no ambiguity on this subject, a senior PRP leader said.

On Sunday evening, Chiranjeevi inaugurated his party’s second office on Rd No. 5, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, PRP senior leader C Ramachandraiah said from now onwards the PRP will focus on the rampant political corruption in the state.

Gossip Between Vijayashanti And Balayya

She is today the so called fighter for a free state and he is still the most powerful stars on the silver screen. Going fifteen years back, both of them had done quite a number of films and so much was their chemistry that soon a torrid passionate affair was labeled to them given their equations.

Time has passed and now they have gone their own ways, we are talking about Balakrishna and Vijayashanti and given the fact that Balayya is all set to hit the political stage to salvage his father's party, it is but natural that Vijayashanti would be his imminent rival. So strong was the gossip about their 'friendship' that a noted mimicry artiste MR Prasad came up with an audio album titled 'Sridevi Pelli' and there was this dialogue from Balayya asking his father NTR not to say anything against Vijayashanti.

Problems Of Balakrishna And Chiranjeevi

Cinema and politics are two different ball games, this seems to have hit the heads of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Yuva Ratna Balakrishna according to news received from the sources close to him. Incidentally, the two among the Big Four are taking steps towards a new political career.

However, here is a hitch. Both of them seem to be suffering from some fundamental problems. Apparently, there is news that Chiru is not too aware of few fundamental concepts of politics and despite being explained on this, he tends not to focus and remains unconvinced.

On the other hand, Balayya has got sound knowledge in politics and is quick to grasp the concepts but then he has a major issue with expressing it. So while Chiru is suffering from fundamentals problem, Balayya is suffering from expression problem. Wonder how they will overcome it.

Tarak Gives Sleepless Nights to Chandrababu

Vijayawada: Ever since Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu started pursuing Nandamuri brothers to come to his rescue, he has been facing one or the other problem, mostly from the young hero from the clan, Tarak Rathna.

Tarak was angry with Chandrababu Naidu as he was not invited for the first two rounds of meetings held with the Nandamuri heroes. In addition, Tarak had raised objections to the way Chadrababu Naidu is giving importance to Junior NTR. According to the media reports, Tarak had protested against the ‘undue importance’ being given to Jr NTR, but remained silent after his Babayi intervened. Subsequently, Tarak was invited for the third meeting.

Since then, Tarak has been touring the State and his comments are creating tremors in the Telugu Desam. At Narasaraopet meeting, he had claimed that the Telugu Desam belonged to the Nandamuri family. At Tenali, he claimed that his Babayi, Balakrishna, would take over the TD soon. Now, in Nellore, Tarak made further more serious statement that Balayya would be the next Chief Minister.

Tarak’s statements reveal two things. The first thing is that his anger against Chandrababu Naidu for ignoring him for two meetings. The other thing is the possible hidden agenda that the Nandamuri brothers have in their minds, which the young hero is revealing it unknowingly.

Whatever the reason, Taraka Rathna’s statements have been making Chandrababu Naidu sleepless these days. In fact, the time has come to think whether his invitation to Nandamuri brothers is going help him or harm him.

Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu and his Bhuvaneshwari extended their warm greetings to film star Mohan Babu on the occasion of the engagement of latter's son Vishnuvardhan with Veronica Reddy, niece of Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy (son of his youngest brother Sudheekar Reddy).

Naidu's presence at the engagement function at Hitex was a surprise to all, as Mohan Babu invited him for courtesy sake. Moreover, Mohan Babu has been openly supporting the Congress and YSR and even prophesied that the Congress would win more than 200 seats in the next elections.

We are talking about the multifaceted Raghava Lawrence who is said to have a strong faith in the Venkateswara Swamy temple that is situated at phase 4 of the KPHB colony in Kukatpally.
