f the dates of festivals are often remembered for the joyous and happy moments, here is one date that will always be remembered for the darkest hours that the country of India has seen. It is the 6th and 7th of December that saw the Babri masjid demolition and the eventual riots that led to the loss of several hundreds of lives.
Since then on each year these two days have become quite crucial and tense since there is news that retaliation moves are being planned in a big manner on these particular times. Now, the Black Day is approaching again and yet again the residents of the city are having a tough time braving it out against the fears.
As it is, the attacks in Mumbai and the recent incident of Viquar Ahmed escaping have thrown to light of what would have been a terrible aftermath of the terror strikes. Already, an SMS advising all to stay away from malls or theatres or any crowded places is making rounds in Hyderabad. Let us hope the 'Black Day' passes off peacefully.
