Prabhas - Puri Jagan film titled Ek Niranjan

The title for Prabhas next movie has been decided as Ek Niranjan. This movie has Prabhas and bollywood babe Kangana Ranaut in lead roles. Puri Jagannath is directing the film and Aditya Ram is producing it on Aditya Ram Movies banner.

Ek Niranjan will be a big budgeted movie from Aditya Ram and the movie will have all the necessary elements to make it a mass masala entertainer and attract all types of audience. Prabhas will be shown in a different angle in this movie.

The shooting of Ek Niranjan will start in this month and will be completed by August.

Swathi not acting with Mahesh Babu in Varudu

Teenage girl Swathi who shot to fame with a tv program titled Colors slowly entered into telugu cinema and acted in movies like Asta Chamma, Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule etc.

Recently many internet sites and tv media said that Colors Swathi is doing a special role in Mahesh Babu next film Varudu. But this is not true, Swathi is not acting with Mahesh Babu in Varudu. This was confirmed by herself in one of the media interactions. She said that she was never approached by Trivikram Srinivas for any role in Varudu movie. She also said that it would have been nice and proper if these media people clarified with her before printing the news.

Swathi is right now doing the female lead in Kalavaramaaye Madilo along with Kamal Kama Raju of Avakai Biryani fame.

Rukmini heroine for Rana in Leader

Daggupati Rana who is the grand son of Ramanaidu and nephew of Venkatesh is making his debut as hero this year. Heroine Rukmini who is doing the second heroine role in Ananda Tandavam movie has been selected as the heroine for Rana.

Star director Sekhar Kammula is directing this yet to be named film and AVM Productions banner is producing it. The movie is being shot without any media attention.

According to our reporter Bannu, the movie will mostly be named as Leader because that is the title which is under consideration by the director and the producer.

Komaram Puli postponed to Dussera

The release of Pawan Kalyan most awaited film has been postponed to Dusserra season. Actually Komaram Puli was getting ready for summer release but is now postponed to Dasara because of Pawan kalyan busy election schedule.
The shooting of Komaram Puli has been temporarily suspended because Pawan Kalyan is busy with campaigning for Yuvarajyam party. Only one month shooting is still left for the movie to complete shooting.

Sneha image makeover with Bhavani

Homely heroine Sneha who did family heroine roles in movies like Sri Ramadasu, Radha Gopalam etc is now getting ready for an image make over with Bhavani movie. Sneha is playing the role of a tough police officer in Bhavani movie.

Talking to the media Sneha said that this tough role is going to be completely novel experience for her. She also added that she couldnt believe when the director narrated her the story but accepted to do as Bhavani only when the director inisted that he would make the picture only with her.

THe shooting of Bhavani is almost complete except for 10% which will be shot very soon. Sneha is playing the lead role in this bi-lingual tamil and telugu movie while Kota Srinivas Rao is playing the negative role. Kichcha i directing the movie.

Sada who did both homely as well as glamour roles is now all set to do a little challenging role. She is now all set to do the role of a mentally retarded and dumb girl in Aa Aaa Ee Eee movie. She is also going to be seen in a completely different attire.

Sada who is going to experiment with her new role is doing the second heroine in Aa Aaa Ee Eee movie while Meera Jasmine and Srikanth are playing the lead roles. This movie is being directed by Srinivas Reddy and is being produced by Ashok Yadav.

Nagarjuna with new director

King Nagarjuna who earlier said that he wont be doing any movie in 2009 inorder to overlook his son Naga Chaitanya’s debut film and also to develop Annapoorna Studios to international standards is now getting ready to act in a film.



This new film will be launched in the month of June. Nagarjuna is doing this film because he immensley liked the script narrated by a script writer and Nagarjuna is also introducing the same person as the director. Nagarjuna earlier introduced many new directors to Tollywood with movies like Shiva, Nuvvosthavani, Santhosham and Mass. This new movie will be produced by Siva Prasad Reddy.

Clash between Ashwini Dutt and Suresh Babu

It has always been seen that the clash between two powerful people in the industry affects a lot of other things and now there is news that two big boys of the industry are cross with each other. While one happens to be the big budget movie maker Aswini Dutt, the other happens to be the crafty film maker Suresh Babu.

Reports say that they had few issues during the time of 'Subhash Chandrabose' and recently when the topic of 'Krishnamvande Jagadugurum' directed by 'Gamyam' Krish came up, the old flames lit up and things were said to be in a messy shape. All this were tales that came in from sources in the film nagar.

However, here is the official version that we have received. Apparently, there is no such thing as a clash between Dutt and Suresh, the truth is director Krish is said to be stuck with a particular thread in the script and has decided to defer it for a while till he gets the correct culmination of the plot and before that he wants to go for a quickie. So folks, it is only a matter of time before Venky and Krish come together.

Tamil film body bans actress Nayanthara

Tamil actress Nayanthara has been banned by a state film body for allegedly not fulfilling her commitment to complete the shooting of ‘Paiyya’ being produced by N. Subhash Chandra Bose. Nayanthara denies this is the reason behind the ban.The decision was taken after Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC) members met the South Indian Artistes Association Wednesday.

“Nayanthara had lost interest in films after being jilted by boyfriends repeatedly. Efforts are underway to get her banned in Malayalam and Telugu films as well,” a TFPC source said Thursday.

A ban on Nayanthara will affect three more Tamil movies - “Raja Vesham,” “Satyam” and “Yaaradi Nee Mohini”, which are currently under production. The investment made in the three films is said to be over Rs.300 million, according to industry sources.

Sources close to Nayanthara denied the charges.

“A section of south Indian film producers are ganging up against Nayanthara for reasons not connected to ‘Paiyya’, a film to be directed by Lingusamy whose dates were not utilised by producer Bose. Since her time was wasted for nothing, the actress refused to return the money,” said one source.

“Unable to utilise the time for other projects, Nayanthara was in Dubai for several months with sibling Lenu Kodiyattu. The accusations of acting in bad faith are false and other things about her are motivated, baseless gossip,” the source added.

Nayanthara was dating Tamil actor Silambarasan but they have broken up.

“Yes, we have decided to go our own ways. I will not be doing another film with Simbu in future,” referring to Silambarasan, Nayanthara has been quoted as saying.

Anand, Godavari and Happy Days director Sekhar Kammula is now getting ready to direct another film with Rana as hero. After planning the re-make of Happy Days in Hindi and also a movie with Nagarjuna, he finally decided to direct a film with Rana as hero.



Rana will be introduced to telugu film industry with this movie. Rana who will be dbuting as hero in this new movie is the grand son of Ramanaidu, son of Suresh and nephew of Venkatesh. Rana was waiting for a correct launch pad for his entry into Tollywood and he finally got it in the form of Sekhar Kammula.

This Sekhar Kammula-Rana new film will be produced by AVM production house. This movie will be officially launched in January 2009. AVM is also producing another movie in telugu with Varun Sandesh as hero.

Srikanth Addala to direct Chiranjeevi

Srikanth Addala who directed the recent commercial hit movie Kotha Bangaru Lokam is all set to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi in his ad films and documentaries for his Prajarajyam Party. Srikanth Addala is going to make ad films and small documentaries on Chiranjeevi and his newly launched Praja Rajyam party.

Srikanth recently met Chiranjeevi and explained his ideas on these ad films and also his thoughts about modern day society. It is also being said that Srianth is being paid handsomely by Chiru to make these films.

Nagarjuna’s latest release King was released on 25th December to tremendous openings. Though the movie opened to big openings, the reviews on first day said that the movie was lenghty. So the makers of King decided to trim the movie by 10min.



D Siva Prasad who is the producer of King, director Sreenu Vytla and Nagarjuna decided to trim the movie by 10 min inorder to reduce the lenght of movie play time. The trimmed or edited movie will be played in all the screens from today.

King has Trisha in the lead role, Mamtha Mohan Das in negative role and many comedians and villans to support hero Nagarjuna. Priyamani, Anushka, Charmee, Genelia, Sneha Ullal and Kamna Jatmalani appear in a song and sizzle the audience.

Dasari's Satires On Chiranjeevi

The film industry is one place where the best of relationships can go haywire in a jiffy and one example for that is the equation between the veteran Dasari Narayana Rao and megastar Chiranjeevi. It is said that they used to share a guru-sishya relationship at one point of time but things went soar with the passing of time.
