Behind The Scene: Journalists or terrorists?

Fresh from the victory, albeit marginally, in the recent elections, Medak MP and Telangana Rashtra Samithi secretary general Vijayashanti has once again displayed her “arrogance” by describing media persons as “terrorists.”

“I am sorry to say this, but to my eyes, you all appear like terrorists, rather than journalists. You are pointing your gun at our head and asking us when we are leaving the TRS. This is not fair. If at all I want to quit the TRS, I will let you know before I speak to party president K Chandrasekhara Rao,” she said at the press conference on Saturday.

The fact is that it was not media persons, but KCR who behaved like a terrorist. He threatened Vijayashanti at gunpoint for giving a scope to media persons to write negative stories on the TRS. It was Vijayashanti who made an off the remark comment before the media against KCR’s decision not to give any tickets to women candidates. KCR pulled her up and made her issue a clarification. “For certain reasons, we could not give tickets to women candidates. We will do justice to them in future,” she said.
