Ntr will campain for Telugu Desam Party

Ntr who was down with fever, met TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu yesterday at his residence. Ntr and Chandra Babu had a brief chat at Babu’s residence about Ntr involvement in politics and also other important Telugu Desam Party issues.

According to our reporter Bannu, Chandra Babu Naidu promised Ntr that he would give the Gannavaram seat to Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan. After this Ntr promised Babu that he would participate in the party’s campain from now on.

Ntr put an end to all the spectulations about Ntr not joining Telugu Desam with today’s meeting with Chandra Babu Naidu. He also put an end to all his differences with his family members. He also won over Hari Krishna in getting the Gannavaram ticket to his associate. Ntr didnt attend the recently completed Yuvagarjana where Balakrishna made an official political entry.

Avakai Biryani auto rally

The Auto Union of Andhra Pradesh conducted an auto rally yesterday in the city of Hyderabad to show their happiness for Avakai Biryani movie. The rally which had 250 autos started at Sandhya theatre in RTC Cross Roads, went through Gokul theatre in Erragadda, Siva Parvati in Kukapally Housing Board Colony and ended at Venkatadri in Dilshuknagar.

The Auto union expressed their happiness about an auto driver becoming a Mandal President after solving the problems in his village. The entire unit of Avakai Biryani also expressed their gratitude to all the auto drivers for their support.

The name should have been Avakai Auto instead of Avakai Biryani…..

Ram Charan Tej - Rajamouli film rolls missing

SS Rajamouli directed Ram Charan Tej and Kajal starrer film rolls were missing from Rainbow Lab in Ramoji Film City. A can having 500ft of film roll was found missing from the lab yesterday. The management complained a case in Hyatnagar Police Station.



The film roll which was robbed yesterday from Ramoji Film City hardly has 2 or 3 scenes which were mostly shot on blue mat. The makers of the movie are not very much worried because these scenes dosent have any story and are not very crucial scenes. Rajamouli has already decided to re-shoot the scenes without any worry of story leakage.

Vinayakudu censored

Director Sai Kiran Adavi directorial venture Vinayakudu was censored yesterday. It obtained a clean U certificate after re-dubbing one single dialogue which was objected by the censor board.



Vinayakudu has Krishnudu and Sonia in the lead roles. This movie will have a premiere show for the press on 20th November at 7.00pm in Prasads multiplex. Vinayakudu is releasing on 21st November in USA and 22nd November in India.

Nitin is hero in Ram Gopal Verma Agyaat

Variety director Ram Gopal Verma is making a murder thriller movie in hindi and telugu titled Agyaat. He has selected hero Nitin to play the lead role in this movie. This will be the first movie and also the launch pad for Nitin in Bollywood. The shooting of Agyaat will start from next month in the deep forests of Srilanka.

Ram Gopal Verma liked Nitin and decided upon him as hero for Agyaat after seeing the posters of Nitin’s telugu flick Hero. Verma approached Nitin and his father Sudhakar Reddy for the role and both of them were more than happy to approve.

Though Nitin has double hat-rick of flops in telugu, his luck seems to shine high because he is getting offers in abundance even after series of flops. While Nitin is getting ready to shoot for Agyaat, his next film in telugu Drona is getting ready for release.

Myaav release on 28th November

Dance director Vidya is making her debut as a director with a thriller movie Myaav. This movie is releasing on 28th November. The cast and other crew of this film are not being revealed till the release of this movie.

The major part of shooting of this film took place in Bangkok. The shooting is complete and is right now in post-production work.

Heroine Kalyani turns producer

Family heroine Kalyani who acted in many good movies like Kabaddi Kabaddi, Avunu Validdaru Istapaddaru, Raksha and many more, married director Surya Kiran and is now all set to turn into a producer.

Surya Kiran who started her filmy career with Sumanth Satyam, didnt have any success in telugu after that. So he went to other film worlds and is trying his hand there. He is now all set to direct a tamil film titled Adhyayam 6 with his wife Kalyani producing it.

Adhyayam is a combination of six stories with all new faces in it. The movie will have six different colours depending upon the moods of each story…so the name Adhhyayam 6 or Chapter 6.

Aascar Ravi Chandran to produce Jakie Chan film

Ravi Chandran of Aascar Films now but once Oscar Films banner is all set to produce an english movie which will be directed by martial arts king Jakie Chan. Jakie is also going to act as the hero in this movie. This new movie will be the sequel to Amour of God series and will be named as Amour of God - Part III. This movie budget is going to cost Ravi Chandran 400 crores. This budget will be the highest production cost till now in the history of Indian cinema.

Ravi Chandran developed friendship when he started distributing all Jakie Chan movies in India and mainly in Tamil Nadu. He used this friendship and brought Jakie for the audio launch function of Dasavatharam. He further wants to use this friendship and produce a movie with the star himself.

Oscar Ravi Chandran who started his career as a distributor of tamil dubbed english films in the southern region of Tamil Nadu. He then distributed all major english movies which were dubbed into tamil. Once he got good money, Ravi Chandran got into main line distribution and started distributing tamil movies. Later he went on to become one of the big and popular producers in tamil film industry. His recent productions include Dasavatharam and Aparichithudu.

Vikram Mallanna release postponed

Tamil hero Vikram bi-lingual movie Malanna was to release in both the states for Sankranthi festival. The release of this movie is postponed from Sankranthi to summer due to unknown reasons. The reasons are known only to the makers of Malanna.

Mallanna has Vikram and Shreya in the lead roles. Susi Ganeshan is directing the film and Kalai Puli Thanu is producing it on V Creations banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music.

Swetha Prasad signs her 2nd telugu cinema

Kotha Bangaru Lokam heroine Swetha Basu Prasad became the sensational teenage beauty and heartrob for the audience after the release of her 1st telugu movie Kotha Bangaru Lokam.

Mohan Babu will be getting Padma Vibhushan Award

Hero turned producer Mohan Babu is now a very close person to Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy both personally and politically. Personally is now the father-in-law of YSR’s brother daughter and politically he is in full support to congress.

Heroines not willing to act with Rajasekhar

Hero Rajasekhar once said that none of the top telugu heroines are willing to act with him because they are being threatened by some big people in telugu film industry. He also said that these so called big people are spreading negative rumours about him which is causing all the big heroines to avoid acting in his films. Well it looks like the problem still continues….

Rajasekhar who is acting in two films now is finding it difficult to get a good top heroine to act with him in these movies. His first film Satyameva Jayathe has new girls Sanjana, Neetu Chandra and Sheryl Pinty acting with him. This has no big heroine in it.

His second movie Hello has Bhumika in the lead role. Hello which is a Malayalam remake needs another heroine in it and when Rajasekhar approached a top telugu heroine for this role she immediately refused the offer. Later he approached another Hyderabad based top telugu heroine and tried convincing her by saying that he is willing to pay double her remuneration but she didnt accept.

Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal shooting in Dubai for Arya 2

Hero Allu Arjun and heroine Kajal Agarwal are acting together in a movie titled Arya 2 which is the sequel of super hit movie Arya. Sukumar who directed the first one is directing the seqel also. BVSN Prasad and Aditya Babu are jointly producing the movie.The lead pair and the entire unit of Arya 2 will be leaving to Dubai to shoot in the exotic locations of Dubai. They are going to shoot few songs and some important scenes in Dubai. The unit of Arya 2 recently finished shooting in Hyderabad.

While Allu Arjun and Kajal play the lead roles, Navadep and Sraddha Das aare playing important roles in the movie. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for Arya-II.

Vinayakudu release on 22nd November

Sonia and Krishnudu of Happy Days fame are acting in lead roles in a movie titled Vinayakudu. This movie is set for release on 22nd November. This movie completed its shooting part and is right now having its post production work going on.



While Sonia and Krishnudu play the lead roles, Poonam Kaur is playing yet another vital role in Vinayakudu after her sister role in Souryam. Sai Kriran Adivi is directing the film and Saritha Patra is producing it on Prem Movies banner.

Dil Raju got the rights of Nizam and Vizag, Suresh Productions got the rights for rest of the state and RK Films got the overseas distribution rights of Vinayakudu movie.

30 minutes movie removed in Surya s/o Krishnan

30 minutes of movie has been removed from Surya s/o Krishnan film. Surya s/o Krishnan which was released a few days ago in both tamil and telugu got bad comments from critics and bad talk from audience because of very lengthy, serious and uninteresting screenplay.



Although there were many goods in the film like good cinematography, good music and excellent performances by both father and son Suryas, the film goes at a very very slow pace in the flash back episodes which is the major drawback for this film.

Taking this into consideration, Gowtham Menon who is the director of Surya s/o Krishnan have cut shot the film by 30 minutes by removing few scenes in the second half in order to make the film more interesting.

Lets see if the movie will get a positive talk or not……

10 minutes movie removed in Avakai Biryani

10 minutes of movie has been removed from the much hyped film Avakai Biryani. Avakai Biryani which was released a few days ago got good comments from critics and some specific audience, but the film was testing the patience of most of the audience in theatres all over the state.



Although there were many goods in the film like good cinematography, pleasant music and descent performances by the new artists, the film goes at a very slow pace which is a drawback. Taking this into consideration, the makers of Avakai Biryani have cut shot the film by 10 minutes by removing few scenes and a song in order to make the film more interesting.

While Kamal Kamaraju and Bindu Madhavi play the lead roles in Avakai Biryani, debutant director Anish Kuruvilla directed it and Sekhar Kammula produced it.

Mahesh Babu new film shooting from 2nd December

The shooting of Mahesh Babu and Parvathi Melton new movie is going start from December 2nd. The shooting will first start in Rajasthan then will go to Nasik and later to South Africa where the major part of the film will be shot.

Trivikram Srinivas is directing this much hyped movie after Jalsa and Singanamala Ramesh is producing it. The movie is tentatively planned for summer 2009 release.

Mahesh Babu is playing the role of an auto driver and Parvathi Melton is playing the role of Miss Universe in this yet to be nammed movie.

Story:
Akbar (Kamal Kamaraju) is an auto driver in a village called Devarakonda and also works as paper boy in the early morning. He is an orphan as lost his father in childhood. He, along with other young uneducated gang lives under the rule of Masterjee (Rao Ramesh), the village head. Babar, a Muslim leader in that place wishes to divert Akbar as religious chauvinist. But Akbar follows 'love all' concept.

A Brahmin family newly comes to that village in exodus from another village and resides in a house. Their plan is to start a hotel business there and also sell avakaya. Lakshmi (Bindu Madhavi), the elder daughter in that family falls in love with Akbar.



How Akbar and Lakshmi unite? How the Hindu-Muslim love is accepted by Lakshmi's father who believes in strict Brahminism? How the hotel business will be started by that family? How Akbar becomes a hero in his village from mere auto driver? All these form the rest of narration.

Performances:
Kamal Kamaraju is ok with his physique and bearing but needs to groom in expressions and other histrionics. New girl Bindu Madhavi is ok with the character she played in the film. And she too needs to groom herself to show versatility.

Music by Manikanth is good and cinematography deserves great mention. The songs 'Mamidi kommaku maa chilakammaku', 'Nannu chupe addam..' and 'Govardhanameththaadu gopalude…' have received good applause.

Director would have done batter work on dialogues. The required punches were lacked on a whole leaving audiences without sufficient entertainment.

Analysis:
It's a movie that moves in a different but slow pace. Technical brilliance is seen in making with creative cinematography, worth mentioning framing, enticing music and quality RR. The tempo of the movie and also the subject chosen for it recalls the 1990s Delhi Doordarshan TV serials like Govind Nihalani's 'Tamas', 'Malgudi Days' etc. It's a genre of movie that would be liked and disliked in equal form. In other words to say, there would be good number of audiences on both the sides. Director Aneesh tried to balance the equation between his creativity and commercial point. But on a whole at the end, it gives a 'boring feel' for some and a 'good relief' for others.

The film aptly suits to hit the film festivals across the world. It has some message in it. Aneesh would have got better experience with the films those will be played in film festivals. Like Thangar Bachchan's 'Pallikoodam', where the lead role works hard for a social cause and the betterment of a place, here the lead role in 'Avakaya Biryani' also does the same. That may not be taken as the only common point between the two. The way the story is narrated with remote village backdrop, limited set of characters with typical characterizations etc.

To sum up, the film has lacked in energy and audiences find it difficult to get connect to it. When story is not running at faster pace that should be filled in by comedy. Or if there is no comedy to show, the story should run. Although Aneesh has comparison with many award winning film makers, he brought some doubts in the heads of some audiences:

How a village family goes to another remote village for livelihood? Many audiences felt that it would have been convincing had they gone to city. And again why the heroine goes to Hyderabad to sell pickles?

How the village head Masterjee speaks in pure Andhra accent in Devarakonda, a Telangana village?

What is the characterization of Babar? He roams as vagabond on a motor cycle for some time and dresses up like MIM leader and sits along with CM other time and appears as 'Mutton Shop Mastan' in another frame. Finally he loses himself in an auto race with hero!!!

Leaving those trivial doubts aside, the film has got many concoctions that suit for Film Festivals. Religious tolerance, inter-religious love, village politics, auto race, auto driver growing as Mandal President and all. The style of narration is something different without the influences of any contemporary director. The notable minus in the movie is lack of sufficient humor and comedy. A couple scenes between village head Masterjee and an eccentric fried of hero Akbar during auto race bring laughs. Aneesh, after his blatant satire on Tollywood with 'Confessions of Film Maker' has made this commercial flick as his debut. Only a separate set of audience can patronize this movie.

YSR Blasted Chiranjeevi

"The pedda manishi who never stepped into his own village and never helped even a single person over there, is now saying stories that he would serve 8 crore Andhra Pradesh population. He acted as hero in films in past 30 years and earned crores of rupees. But didn't bother helping a single person in his own village", said YSR today in Guntur district today as a part of Rajeev Pallebaata.

"Chiranjeevi should explain what change he is going to bring in teh state", added YSR.

"Will he stop old age people's pensions, will he put an end to free electricity, will he put full stop to kilo Rs 2 rice, will he lift away house and welfare schemes those are meant for poor now? What change Chiranjeevi is going to bring?" asked YSR.

YSR also asked Chandrababu what welfare he did in his rule for poor people. He said that TDP leaders have eaten away the rice that was meant for poor people in Babu's rule.

Gowtham Menon to direct Mahesh Babu

After making super hit movies like Cheli, Gharshana, Raghavan, Surya s/o Krishnan (yet to release), Tamil director Gowtham Menon is all set to direct a straight telugu movie with Prince Mahesh Babu has hero.

While Mahesh Babu is the hero, his sister Manjula is the producer who will produce the movie on Indira Productions banner. AR Rehman will compose the music for the first time for Gowtham movie.

Gowtham Menon said to the media that he narrated the story to Manjula and also gave a bound copy of script to Manjula to get ready with the dialogues version in telugu. He also said that his movie with Mahesh is going to be a total romantic love story.

Though nobody knows how this video came out of the shooting spot, it shows Ram Charan Tej riding a horse in the deserts of Rajasthan. This video clipping shows the talent of director SS Rajamouli and his interest and taste in taking such exotic scenes. Though the video is removed from youtube by Geetha Arts, it has create the most necessary hype for the movie.




While Ram Charan Tej and Kajal Agarwal are playing the lead roles, Sri Hari is playing a vital role in the movie. SS Rajamouli is directing it and Allu Arvind is producing it on Geetha Arts banner. MM Keeravani is composing the music.

Nagarjuna angry with media

Yuvasamrat Nagarjuna is angry with the entire media. He said that the media wrongly publicized his supporting the good deeds of Congress Party as supprting Congress Party. In a press meet yesterday, Nagarjuna clarifed that he is publicizing the good deeds of YS Rajasekhar Reddy and his government because he himself liked all the projects and steps taken by the government to improve the life of the poor and needy.

Nagarjuna also clarifed that he is neither supporting nor campaigning for Congress Government directly nor thought about doing so. He is just supporting the projects of YSR because he liked them. He was also angry with the media because a section of media wrote that Nagarjuna is doing this inorder to get enough support from the government inorder to develop his Annapoorna Studios into a state of the art film studio.

Selva Raghavan to direct Ntr

Tamil director Selva Raghavan alias Sri Raghava who gave 2 super hit telugu movies 7G Brindavan Colony and Adavari Matalaku Arthale Verule is now getting ready to direct Ntr for his third film in telugu. According to our reporter Bannu, Sri Raghava narrated a script to Ntr who immediately liked it and gave his consent for this film. Singanamala Ramesh will be producing it.

Ntr who is right now busy shooting for VV Vinayak film has accepted to do this film. Ntr is right now on a signing spree and this movie is third movie which he accepted to do, the others being Ntr-Puri Jagannath film and Ntr-Vallabhaneni Vamsi film.

Singer Smita selected her dance troop

Pop singer Smita finally selected her dance troop from Andhra Pradesh. As promised earlier, Smita selected all the 11 finalists of Dance with me - Smita reality dance show as her dance troop who would accompany her to all her dance shows.

Smita started a reality dance show few months ago titled Dance with me - Smita in Maa TV and promised to take all the finalists as her dancing troop. 650 participants from all the corners of Andhra Pradesh took part in the auditions out of which 36 dancers were selected to participate in the dance show. After different dance rounds and eliminations, 11 dancers were selected as finalists and all these 11 were absorbed by Smita as her troop. Smita herself produced this show on I Candy Entertainments Pvt Ltd.

Sekhar Kammula producing new directors

Sekhar Kammula- the name well known for decent, clean, comedy, and family entertainers is giving out many new directors who worked under him. Already two new directors are ready with their new movies and now a third person is starting to make a movie.

Sai Kiran Adivi and Anish Kuruvilla who worked under Sekhar Kammula are now ready with their first directorial ventures Vinayakudu and Avakai Biryani. Vinayakudu is releasing on 21st November and Avakai Biryani is releasing on 14th November.

Now Anand Ravi who worked with Sekhar Kammula in Godavari and Happy Days is going to start his own directorial venture. This movie will be launched in 2009 and will have all new faces in lead roles.

Lal Bahadoor stadium to host Nandi Awards

Lal Bahadoor Stadium is going to host the prestigious Nandi Awards this year. The government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to hold the prestigious State Nandi Awards function on 16th November in Lal Bahadoor Stadium this year. This will be first time that Nandi Awards function will be held in another venue other than Lalitha Kala Thoranam.

The Congress government which is in power now is trying to show its power and position to all other political parties through this function. Superstar Krishna and Prince Mahesh Babu who are in support of Congress are recieving awards this year and the Congress party wants to increase their political mileage in Andhra using this function as occassion. Congress Gives Shock With 'King' Nag

In what was being seen as the strong fort of the Telugu Desam Party and the Praja Rajyam Party, the film glamour and strength that they have owned are now finding their matches in the Congress too. A prelude to this came up in the past 48 hours when Yuva Samrat Akkineni Nagarjuna was seen flashing on the small screen circuits making his appearance in the Congress ads and sharing his wisdom on the 'Arogyasri' and 'Indiramma' schemes. This has given a good jumpstart to the Congressmen who are confident that Nag will be with them till the elections.

For now, Nag is not to be seen anywhere since he is off the hook busy with the shooting of his film 'King' and his appearance on TV turned out to be a thorn in the flesh for the Chiru camp in a way. Apparently, both Nag and Chiru happen to be partners of the MAA TV and perplexed by this move, some from the PRP camp point it to the land in the Annapoorna studio that is being targeted for more commercial purposes and Nag has struck a deal in this fashion. History states that Nag had supported the TDP in a rather undertone manner way back in the year 2004 and now with his sliding towards Congress, the balances have changed for sure.

Firstly, it is the caste bank of the 'Kamma' community that would get cut and this means part of TDP's share is gone, moreover the appeal of Nag amongst the womenfolk is another part of the cake that will be snatched away from Naidu's house.

To top this all, if Congress is successful in getting in 'Prince' Mahesh Babu to campaign for them then it will be not one but Titans who will give TDP and PRP a run for their votes. However, Mahesh has been eluding this aspect for quite sometime while his father superstar Krishna has already given his thoughts openly by creating the 'Krishna-Mahesh Sena' newly. As it is, Krishna's brother Adiseshagiri Rao is an active member of the Congress party so he has been doing his bit to get Mahesh into the loop.

With accessory support by folks like Srihari, Jeevitha, Rajasekhar, Jayasudha and other names Congress has surely beefed up enough ammunition in their camp this time and are using the 'cine glamour' card to its correct advantage. While the 'Nag' missile has struck the opposition camps by surprise, it remains to be seen how many more aces YSR has got up his sleeve to win the four year Jackpot of power and politics.

Like Obama, I will make history in AP: Chiranjeevi

HYDERABAD: Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi has claimed that the vote for change that marked the outcome of the US presidential elections will be repeated in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections scheduled early next year.

Chiranjeevi, whose campaign is focussed on change and social justice, told gatherings during his roadshow in Khammam district that the people in the state were "disillusioned" with successive governments and were yearning for change and ushering in a new political culture.

"Like Americans, who created history by voting overwhelmingly in favour of change and social justice, our people will repeat the same message," the actor said on the concluding day of his second leg of mass contact programme covering Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammamcts in Telangana region.

Like Barack Obama who mesmerised Americans with his promise of change, the matinee idol of Telugu cinema has been emphasising that he will herald a change.

"I have no personal agenda. The people's agenda is my agenda. The people want change, a change that will lead to a positive political culture and improvement in their living standard", he said.

Anti-Naidu 'NTR CDs' As Hot Cakes

Like it or not, but then the truth remains that as long as Chandrababu Naidu is around in the Telugu Desam Party he will be constantly plundered on the infamous 'Viceroy Hotel' incident which led to the downfall of the legendary NTR and the eventual succession of Naidu as the Chief Minister.

It was during that time NTR released a cassette titled 'Jamaata Dasamagrahaha' which meant that a son-in-law happens to be the tenth planet that rules one's life apart from the nine planets. So, he ended up letting out his frustration and anguish in that cassette but as soon as Naidu got into power, he managed to keep that in the wraps.

Now, it is heard that the Congress party and including NTR's daughter Purandeshwari are making few inclusions and modifications to come out with a VCD of the same portraying Naidu as the villain and since the elections are approaching, they thought that there is no better time than this one. Let us wait and see how this one works. Congress men are planning to distribute those VCDs among people.

Fact Sheet: Balaiah's language artificial

Many of those who watched Balakrishna speaking at Yuvagarjana have made an interesting observation: that his language was out and out artificial and "bookish."

In every sentence, he used "grandhika bhasha" (text book language) rather than usual "Vyavaharika Bhasha" (common spoken language). It was a clear attempt to imitate his late father N T Rama Rao, but he miserably failed to articulate in his style. Apart from blabbering and stammering, Balakrishna fumbled at several places in trying to use strong words and be aggressive.

However, whenever he got down to normal language at some instances, Balaiah was his natural self. Especially, when he identified himself as a representative of various castes, he was at his best. It is better he remains his natural self, rather than imitating NTR.

Purandareshwari is still with us: Harikrishna

The letter written by NTR's daughter and union minister Daggubati Purandareshwari, expressing her anguish at her brothers supporting Chandrababu Naidu did not create much impact on the Nandamuri family.

Naidu entrusted the task of tackling her to Harikrishna. And Harikrishna categorically declared that there were no differences between them and Purandareshwari. "We all belong to one family. And we are all one, though she joined the Congress party. We do not want to take her letter seriously, which is the handiwork of the Congress leaders to defame the Telugu Desam party," he said.

The Congress, however, is planning to make use of her services to attack the TD. But, she will confine her attack only to Chandrababu Naidu, but not her brothers. Does it have any impact?

Spotlight: Political Jokers In AP

Andhra Pradesh is seeing political jokers in all parties. They stand behind someone or something and they have no value as per their face value or aura in public.

While Hari Krishna is regarded as big joker in TDP, it is Veerappa Moyili in Congress and coming to TRS it is needless to say that KCR takes that position. And in Communist parties, the jokers are Narayana and Raghavulu. Mitra happens to be from PRP. And Vijayashanti, Devender Goud are jokers from their own parties. KA Paul is the roaring joker since the beginning. These people are becoming laughing stock among the public and whenever they appear on small screen, people gush out a few laughs involuntarily.

Hari Krishna has been standing behind his 'bavayya' as he did earlier to NTR, his father. He appears to be a coolie for TDP and Naidu. Same is the case wit Mitra. No one can regard him without Chiranjeevi beside. Narayana and Raghavulu have been babbling about 'bhooporaatam' and nothing had been done from their side so far other than confusing people. KCR is made joker now by all parties by up taking 'Telangana slogan'.

These leaders are termed jokers as they are bringing in laughs whenever appear on TV screens.

First Result Of Software Shocks

The financial recession and the economic crunch may be one bit of America but then it has created multiple folds of disturbance in the Indian market. So now, they have come up with the discount sales at a rather unusual time since the smart thing to do when down on business is to clear the stock at a lesser price and keep the money flow on. Thanks to the software doom, even those who were thinking twice to pick up something at malls are now going in with some confidence and doing some shopping.

Sumanth Is Worried And Disturbed

He might be called as the struggling star of the Akkineni clan since all the movies that he has starred in have not been able to generate success at the box office and it was only through multi-starrers that his mettle and presence have been felt. He is none other than the tall and lanky Sumanth.

Now, he is all set to appear as a cop (with a funny moustache) in his forthcoming venture 'Vijay IPS' on the 7th of this month but then it is heard that he has not been too happy with the way the whole thing has gone till now. Apparently, the promos have not been upto the mark and there has been no aggressive marketing of the movie.

Incidentally, his last release 'Pourudu' happened to be somewhat okay with its response but this cop flick of his sure looks to be facing the eyes of doom straight. But then this is film industry and anything can happen here so let us hope for the best for Sumanth.

No More 'Happy Days' and 'Call Centers'

After the recent development of the Telugu language receiving the 'Classical language' status, more and more efforts and initiatives are being forwarded by the government to maintain the sanctity and integrity of the Telugu language. The first clean up task seems to be happening in the film circuit.

Apparently, there is news that there are proposals for Entertainment Tax Waiver For 'Pure Telugu Film Titles' and this is not something new since the Tamil and the Kannada movie industries have already implemented this system. So, if you are expecting titles like 'Happy Days' 'Call Centers' then it might just become a thing of the past now.

While some folks in the film circuit are welcoming this new initiative, there are those who are chalking up plans to come up with metro centric movies and have to look at the Telugu dictionaries to come up with apt titles for their modern names. Let us see how this goes.

‘I hardly know Sreesanth’: Shriya

Shriya Saran is quite upset these days. Reason? She’s literally seething over media reports, which claimed that she had tried to woo cricketer Sreesanth recently. The moment you ask the actress about the alleged media reports, the lady gets quite worked up. “Sreesanth and I are brand ambassadors for an upmarket product. Ek — The Power Of One is a film in which I play an immature girl, who thinks less and talks more. Ashok Amritraj’s film The Other End Of The Line has been recently released in the US and the response has been overwhelming. I am also doing quite a few big-budget South Indian films. So, life is hectic.” With so many different projects in her hand, how does she flit from a glamorous role to an absolutely deglamourised portrayal with such effortless ease? “It’s easy because each director of mine knows his/her job. I always concentrate on the director and the script before saying yes to a project,” says she. This thorough professional is equally fussy when it comes to her soulmate. She admits, “Love is the best thing that can happen to a person,” but quickly adds, “Right now, my 14-month-old nephew, Dhruv, is the only man in my life. I am absolutely smitten by him.

Jagapathi Babu on small screen?

Unlike Bollywood stars who keep appearing on one reality show or other, Telugu stars kept a safe distance from the small screen. But actor Jagapathi Babu broke this practice and recently appeared on a music reality show. No that doesn’t mean that he’s giving up acting or isn’t doing well. Nothing of the sort. Jokes apart, his clipping encouraging a particular contestant was screened on the show and it seems to have done well with the audience. It was a good gesture indeed!

Nithin is now in Mahesh Babu’s place

Paruchuri Murali is recognized as a good director by his films ’Andhrudu’ and ’Peddababu’. Starring Nithin and Illeana as hero and heroines, a film is currently in the making on Spectra Creations banner, in his direction. Nithin after his one more stylish portrayal in ‘Hero’ is now in a movie directed by Paruchuri Murali. The director was widely acclaimed for his earlier films ‘Andhrudu’ and ‘Peddababu’. Now he is directing Nithin who shares screen space with pretty damsel Ileana on Spectra Creations banner. Launched on October 9 during Dussera, it was expected that the movie will begin from the 3rd of this month. The delay was not long as it was started a day after on 4th but the news that kindles interest is, Athadu’s set is the shooting spot for this movie. A fake house was erected earlier at Nanakramguda for the Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Athadu’ which was blockbuster hit of the year 2005. Now important scenes are being canned at the same location for the Nithin’s movie. As ‘Athadu’ became a box office smash and acclaimed quite a few awards, it is being believed that the place will bring good luck for this flick too.
