More NRI Families Might Return

Vijayawada: Telugu Desam politburo member and former finance minister, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, visualized the danger of global economic crisis hitting Indian families.

At a press conference, Yanamala referred to the economic crisis hitting several families, particularly some of the Telugu families in US and European nations. He said that the present crisis, if not resolved, would reflect on the State economy as the NRI funds, which has been the major source of our economy, would stop flowing in. He also feared that some of the NRI families would return to the State as they lose jobs and they would be a burden on the State.

He feared that the international companies that have already invested here might withdraw their investments resulting in thousands of people losing their jobs. This would also render people jobless and lead to crisis.

He wanted the government to take steps to divert investments to productive sectors like agriculture and industry as that would resolve the present crisis.
