Ayesha Meera’s Mother on Yuva Garjana

Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam leaders have made the mother of Ayesha Meera, a B Pharmacy girl who was raped and killed in her hostel room in Vijayawada in December last, was made to speak from the Yuva Garjana dais.

Begum, mother of Ayesha Meera, with tears rolling down from her ears, said that the government had covered the culprits in the brutal killing of her daughter. She said that Minister Koneru Ranga Rao’s grandson, Koneru Satish and his friends were responsible for the murder of her daughter. However, the government had protected the culprits leaving the victims to their fate.

“I have met the Chief Minister, not to seek money, houses, land or compensation, but to request him to punish the culprits. But, this government did not respond to our requests,” she said.

Begum also blamed the Acharya Nagarjuna University for having conferred doctorate on the Minister, Ranga Rao. “As a student of this university, I feel ashamed of the university conferring doctorate on the Minister. Why did they to so? Is it because he had successfully manipulated the facts in the murder of my daughter?,” she asked.

The TD had been using Begum on several occasions to explain the brutal death of her daughter, Ayesha Meera. The Yuva Garjana too was one such an occasion for the TD leaders to recall the shameful incident.

The question now is how far the sympathy generated by narrating Ayesha Meera’s case on every occasion would help the TD get votes?
